Butterfly Tiny Treat Box

The Nelson 'Stampin' Up Extravaganza' was last Saturday and what a day it was!  Stay tuned for my blog post detailing the event soon...

The project I taught was an altered 'Tiny Treat Box'.  Here it is....

In a nutshell the box was sponged with Whisper White Ink, spritzed with 'Blackberry Bliss' and then stamped using a range of stamps from 'Butterfly Basics'.

The inside and outside of the lid was covered with Typeset DSP and then further embellished.

The ladies also spritzed some filter paper for inside the box and were each given a tea light candle to complete the project.

Butterfly Basics Mini Cards

I have been stamping for over twenty years and have owned many a stamp but I have to say that 'Butterfly Basics' would have to be one of my most FAVOURITE sets of all time.  I like that it contains beautiful images (more than one that can be the focal image), background stamps, sentiments and a quote.  Love love love.

My mini cards fit inside the 'Square Envelopes'.  I have repeated the same design, simply changing the flower colour on each.

Two sleeps to go until the first ever Nelson (New Zealand) Stampin' Up Extravaganza.  Exciting!!

Cheerful Easter

Totally into these 'Tiny Treat Boxes'!  They are fun, fun, fun and can be easily altered in different styles, for different occasions.

For today's project I've combined a few bright elements for a cheerful Easter Gift.  The button and ribbon are Sale-a-Bration items (Best Year Ever Accessory Pack).  The white jute ribbon adds a neat texture.  It can be trimmed down, frayed, inked...  I have also used a chalk pen with a mask in a scribbley type fashion (saw this idea on a blog a while back- Paula D was this your awesome idea??!).

Then open up the box and up pops this sweet chick (Cheerful Critters).  Super cuuuuute!

Pirate Birthday Card

The 'Hey, Valentine' stamp set is not just for Valentine's Day.  This wee guy made a neat birthday card for a little friend of ours last month- I simply omitted the 'valentine' from the sentiment.

The pirate is super cute, don't you think?  I've popped the image up with Stampin' dimensionals (love these wee hexagon mounts- the perfect thickness and quick and easy to use).
